Parakai Geothermal Motel offers two different types of accommodation options. We have a variety of separate self contained units featuring private mineral spa pools, as well as the option to book an en-suite room within our 7 roomed villa, with shared lounge and kitchen.

With space for up to 25 guests across 7 unique room types, it’s perfect for singles, couples, and families. A well-equipped kitchen is available for light breakfast prep, and a private geothermal spa pool adds a touch of luxury. Minimum charge applies for 8 guests.Room A with Shared Kitchen and Dining Area A recently renovated 1900s villa, which has been transformed into luxury shared accommodation consisting of 7 individual rooms all with private ensuite bathrooms. The smaller of our double rooms, Room A consists of a double bed with ensuite bathroom. The kitchen, and lounge areas are shared spaces with the kitchen accommodating hot plates, fridges, microwaves, toasters and kettles for basic breakfast cooking.Room B with Shared Kitchen and Dining Area A recently renovated 1900s villa, which has been transformed into luxury shared accommodation consisting of 7 individual rooms all with ensuite bathrooms. Room B is a family room across 2 bedrooms, one bedroom with a king single bed and the master room a king bed, comfortably accommodating 3 people. A well sized en-suite compliments the room.The kitchen, and lounge areas are shared spaces with the kitchen accommodating hot plates, fridges, microwaves, toasters and kettles for basic breakfast cooking.Room C with Shared Kitchen and Dining Area A recently renovated 1900s villa, which has been transformed into luxury shared accommodation consisting of 7 individual rooms all with ensuite bathrooms. Room C is a couple room with king bed. A well sized en-suite compliments the room.The kitchen, and lounge areas are shared spaces with the kitchen accommodating hot plates fridges, microwaves, toasters and kettles for basic breakfast cooking.Room D with Shared Kitchen and Dining Area A recently renovated 1900s villa, which has been transformed into luxury shared accommodation consisting of 7 individual rooms all with ensuite bathrooms. Room D is a family room comfortably accommodating 4 people across 2 bedrooms, a twin room with 2 king singles and a master bedroom with king bed. A private en-suite bathroom compliments the room.The kitchen, and lounge areas are shared spaces with the kitchen accommodating hot plates, fridges, microwaves, toasters and kettles for basic breakfast cooking.Room E with Shared Kitchen and Dining Area A recently renovated 1900s villa, which has been transformed into luxury shared accommodation consisting of 7 individual rooms all with ensuite bathrooms. Room E is a family room accommodating 4 people in one bedroom, consisting of a queen bed and 2 king single beds. Room F is a large family room accommodating 4 people across 2 bedrooms. The master room has a queen bed and the 2nd bedroom a twin room with 2 single beds. The room offers 1 queen bed, 2 king single beds and 2 singles, perfect for a larger family. The kitchen, and lounge areas are shared spaces with the kitchen accommodating hot plates, fridges, microwaves, toasters and kettles for basic breakfast cooking.Single Unit 1A with Private Mineral Hot Pool This unit is perfect for a quick overnight stop for those who are just looking to rest their heads. Consists of a king single bed in the bedroom, a small kitchenette,toilet and outdoor shower.Private single mineral hot tub in a courtyard just outside the bedroom.2 Bedroom with Mineral Hot Pool Unit 2 A self-contained 2-bedroom family unit which sleeps 5. Consists of 2 king single beds in the 1st bedroom, a king bed in the 2nd bedroom and a king single bed in the lounge area. A sleeper couch in the lounge can be made up on request to accommodate a 6th person. Full kitchen with dining area, bathroom and fireplace for those chilly winter evenings. Please bring your own firewood, if you wish to use the fireplace.Private mineral spa pool just outside the lounge on a private deck.Studio Unit with single person hot tub Unit 2A This self -contained studio unit comes with 1 x queen bed and a king single with kitchenette in the one room, a separate bathroom and a single person mineral hot tub outside on a private deck.Studio with Mineral Hot Pool Unit 3 A self-contained studio unit which sleeps 3. Consists of a king bed and a king single bed in the living area. Comes with kitchen and bathroom. Basic cooking facilities with stovetop and microwave. Private mineral pool outside the bedroom on a private deck.Queen Room with Mineral Hot Pool Unit 4 A self-contained 1-bedroom unit which sleeps 2. Consists of a king bed in the bedroom, a separate lounge, kitchen area and bathroom. Basic cooking facilities with 2-plate stovetop and microwave.Private mineral pool just outside the lounge on a private deck.Family Unit with Mineral Hot Pool Unit 7 A self-contained family unit which sleeps 4. Consists of a king bed in the bedroom, 2 single beds in the lounge area, a kitchenette and bathroom. Basic cooking facilities with 2-plate stovetop and microwavePrivate mineral pool just outside the lounge on a private deckTriple Room with Mineral Hot Pool Unit 8 A standalone one-bedroom apartment that can accommodate up to 3 guests. It includes a king-size bed in the bedroom and a large single bed in the living room. The unit is equipped with a kitchenette and a bathroom. Basic cooking facilities include a stovetop and a microwave.Private mineral spa pool just outside the lounge on a private deck.Mineral Spa Pool Hire 10AM - 12PM Take 2 hours out of your day to soak up the goodness of the geothermal water, great for the skin and bones and overall general wellbeing. We offer 2-hour slots for pool hire. Read MoreWelcome to Parakai Geothermal Motel. We are situated in the heart of Parakai, an area which is renowned for its abundance of geothermal water springs. People have been coming to the area for over 130 years,enjoying the health benefits a geothermal soak has to offer. Our mineral water is fed directly from the geothermal springs into your pool, creating a luxurious soak that will nourish the skin and bones.
We have two different accommodation types at the motel, accommodating a total of 54 guests. Our villa is a large double storey 1900's villa, one of the original boarding homes in Parakai. The villa can accommodate up to 25 people across 7 bedrooms, all with private ensuite bathrooms. This accommodation type can be booked either as individual rooms or book the entire villa for groups of 8 or more.
We also offer individual units with a variety of unit types, of which there are 9. Our individual units are all self contained, with a lounge area, kitchenette and bathroom with shower.
All units come with their own private geothermal spa pools. These are located just outside your lounge on a private deck.
